The starting point Last weekend 26/Jan/19 we planned to hike to Singkug Hill, Kpg Bayayat. On Saturday morning, the rain doesn't seem to stop. We went, then after decide to hike or not hike. Its took us one hour ++ drive to Bayayat Village, the rain still pouring eventho we reached the village, had our breakfast, wait for awhile the rain still pouring looking at each other face. Consult with the local, we said OK we just proceed with the hike.  The registration area is at kindergarten. Our package all is inclusive breakfast, lunch, certificate and guide fee cost us RM31 . They provide shoes for rent too for RM3 , just incase you find that an excuse not to hike because you don't have shoes. LoL. Backdated entry Hi readers! Normally we went for hike around KK in small group, 5 pax the most. I've planned to hike Murug-Turug since last year (2018). One of the new year resolution I guess, to hike more hills/mountains for this year (2019). The minimun pax to hike Murug-Turug is 5 pax, if less you just have to covered the guide fees. Murug-Turug offer three hike package. i. Trail A - 4KM (RM10) ii. Trail B - 5KM (RM15) iii. Trail C - 8KM (RM30) So eager and confident so we decided a go for Trail C, start from 5 pax nearly 20 pax wanted to adventure to Murug-Turug. On fine Saturday Morning, woke up at 5am, breakfast reached Murug-Turug registration area at 7am. Its not too far tho, just half an hour drive from my office (Sulaman). Registration Done! Briefing Done! The starting point just bring downhill, then after you get excited start to see the river. The real hike begin after that, be prepared to get wet. ...Day 2, we booked one van went for city Songkhla Tour, cost us 2,500bath. You may arrange your tour around the city with the hotel. So we start as early as 0800 hours, we went for breakfast then off we go to Songkhla. First destination is Samila Beach, the famous mermaid statue by the beach, you may have to wait for your turn to take photo with the mermaid. Its been raining cats and dogs since we came, but its doesn't stop us to explore and to know about Songkhla. I've been to Songkhla during my uni, but those days we don't have this mobile phone with camera, everything is limited with film camera. There is few places I can recall that I've been to. Wake me up when September end. The music start to lingering in your head when it come to month of September. Last minute, I decided to say Yes to my friend for the impromptu trip. It may sound tiring, but it was a awesome companion to be with. I fly from KK to KL and at the same day, took 930pm bus from Bandar Tasik Selatan Terminal Bus (BTS) to Hatyai, which only cost us RM55 per person (incl. insurance). Everything went well from KL until we reached border Malaysia-Thailand (Bukit Kayu Hitam) Rain is pouring, long queue at the immigration both Malaysian and Thailand immigration. to avoid the long queue in Thailand Immigration, the bus driver advise us to pay RM20 (to the runner) to avoid the unnecessary hassle. All the passenger in the bus must agreed to pay for RM20, which is all we did. We reached Hatyai nearly in the afternoon. To make this trip more interesting, we did not book any hotel in advance and we don't have any return ticket from Hat...

Where to? Nuluh Lapai We always hike in the morning, over the weekend. We do not have any intention to catch-up with the sunrise or sunset in the evening. We just want to sweat ourselves and enjoy the nature early morning. How to get there? Nowadays you easily get anywhere in the world using very useful apps, just by pointing your finger on your smartphone. For the first timer, to those using waze, you may search for Gayang Seafood Restaurant. Nuluh Lapai hill right opposite the Gayang. Easy peasy right. ;) How was the difficulty level? Good for beginner, but just don't underestimate. Not to demotivate you, it was a good workout tho. For a new timer, you don't need a guide to hike but with a companion will be good. There is two access to climb the hill, you won't get lost easily as long you stay on the trail. It always breathtaking whenever you hike in the morning, if the weather permit Mount Kinabalu may greet you from far.

As you can see, I've been stop writing since 2016. The excuses was who write now? People will go to Insta or FB to find the information they needed. I find that was just a lame excuses for not writing anymore like myself. & since I transferred to KK, I know KK have a lot of hill to explore. Me, "the amateur hiker". LoL. The weekend is the opportunity for me to explore the hills more. So I've been googling all the hill in KK, the things is people do not blog anymore about their activity. So here I am decided to start blog about my Hiking activities, it just for easy reference for new beginner hiker to take interest to hike. Hope I can keep it up tho, just bear with me whoever out there who will come across to my not so informative blog.
